DC Bathinda transferred by Election Commission

The Election Commission of India today removed Bathinda Deputy Commissioner Praneet Bhardwaj with immediate effect from the post and appointed an IAS officer of 2011 Punjab Cadre B. Srinivasan .
The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab Dr. S Karuna Raju today issued an order vide No 437/ PB-HP/ 2019 (NS-1) dated 5-4-2019 about the removal and appointment of new Deputy Commissioner Bathinda.
As per the order issued by Chief Electoral Officer Punjab” B. Srinivasan IASis currently performing duty as General observer for the General Election to the lok sabha at Telagana. As per the Election Commission of India’s instruction Kumar Rahul IAS is directed to immediately report as General Observer at Telanana and relieve B. Srinivasan IAS”.
Both the officers are directed to immediately send compliance report in this regard.
It’s a first major transfer in Punjab, after the election were announced .
