Delimitation of wards not done in logical manner in Rupnagar: Paramjit Makkar
Bahadurjeet Singh/royalpatiala.in News/ Rupnagar,December 27,2025 Senior Akali leader and former president of the Municipal Council Rupnagar Paramjit Singh Makkar has said that the delimitation of wards for municipal council elections in RUpnagar town was not done in a logical manner and till now the map prepared in this regard has been kept secret.
Regarding the objections to be given for delimitation of wards , Makkar said that the draft notification regarding the delimitation was issued on December 22 and till date it has neither been put up for viewing in the municipal council office nor has it been published in any newspaper. He said that if full time is not given as per the law for objections, then he will be forced to take legal remedy.
