DGPs transfer: Chandigarh gets new DGP

Madhup Kumar Tiwari, 1995 batch IPS officer of AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre has been appointed as new DGP of Chandigarh. He is among three IPS officers transferred by the Government of India.
The outgoing DGP Praveer Ranjan, of the 1993 batch, has been assigned to the role of Additional Director General in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Ranjan had joined Chandigarh police in August 2021
