Doctors for farmers-senior doctors of Patiala extended support to farmers

More than twenty senior doctors of Patiala city have jointly made an appeal to the Prime Minister Narinder Modi to roll back the recently enacted farm laws which are neither in favour of the farmers nor the common citizen and restore normalcy in the region.
The doctors including senior medical specialist Dr JanakSachdeva, senior cardiologist Dr Gurpreet Singh Sidhu of Patiala Heart, Eye specialists Dr RS Randhawa, Dr Sukhdeep Singh Boparoi, Dr Balbir Singh and Dr. JPS Sodhi, former national vice president of Indian Medical association Dr OPS Kande, President of Punjab Medical Council Dr. AS Sekhon along with its former president Dr Manmohan Singh, former state Chemical Examiner Dr. DC Sharma, senior paediatric surgeon Dr Janak Arora, former principal of Government Medical College Patiala Dr BL Bhardwaj, former Medical Superintendent of Rajindra Hospital Dr Bhupinder Singh Brar, Indian Medical Association Patiala Chapter president Dr AjataShatru Kapoor, former joint director of Medical Education & Research Dr Gurdeep Singh Kalyan, former Zonal Malaria Officer Dr HPS Sandhu, senior surgeon Dr Jagbir Singh, former head of the Orthopaedics Department Rajindra Hospital Dr Manjit Singh, former head of Community Medicine department Dr VarinderVerma, senior surgeonsDr. Gurmeet Singhof Preet Surgical Centre and Dr Gurpreet Singh, showing concern for the just demands of the farmers and unrest in the region have come together for the joint appeal along with some other doctor associations including recently constituted Doctors for Farmers group in support of the agitating farmers.

Meanwhile in a joint statement Dr DS Bhullar and Dr Darshanjit Singh Walia, both Conveners and Devinder Singh Shermajra Coordinator of the “Doctors for Farmers” Group have reiterated their decision for total free tertiary care medical treatment of the protesting farmers admitted in Rajindra Hospital in Patiala along with ambulance expanses with continuous support to the protesting farmers till these draconian agriculture laws are revoked by Government of India.
