Election Commission announces Punjab, HP assembly by-poll elections schedule

Election commission of India has announced the schedule of 13 assembly by-poll elections to be held in 7states.
Punjab’s Jalandhar West is one of the seat where by-poll election is due and the ECI has announced the polling schedule.
Similarly, in Himachal Pradesh poll will be held at three assembly constituencies of Dehra, Nalagarh, Hamiarpur.
As per ECI, the notification will be issued on June 14 (Friday) and the last date for filing nominations will be June 21 (Friday). The nomination papers will be scrutinized on June 24 (Monday), while the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is June 26 (Wednesday). The voting will be held on July 10 (Wednesday) and the result will be announced on July 13 (Saturday) after the counting of votes.
The model code of conduct (MCC) has been applicable in all the constituencies wher by-polls are schedule from today i.e. June 10, Monday. The MCC will remain in force until the election process is completed by July 15 (Monday)
