In order to restore the electricity supply to the villages/areas under North Zone Jalandhar which have been affected due to flood water, Er.Ramesh Sarangal, Chief Engineer/ North Zone, PSPCL, Jalandhar has been continuously visiting the flood affected villages/areas since july 11 and along with all the concerned officers/employees, the villages/areas where electricity supply can be restored.
All efforts are being made to restore power supply keeping in view the public safety and full coordination is being done with the district administration and people in this regard.
PSPCL officers visited Shahkot, Lohian, Gidarpindi, Kakar Kalan, Ismailpur, Kamalpur, Jakkopur Punia, Bhagobuddha, Sultanpur Lodhi etc. areas and they told that mainly 66 KV.
The sub-station Mehrajwala Power Station which is completely submerged in water, only about 18 villages are yet to be restored. 66 kV Sub-station Jakkopur Punia and 66 KV.
Power supply to about 36 affected villages from sub-station Bhagobuddha has been restored till 12/7/23 and as the water level in the villages/areas is receding.Teams of officials/employees are being sent to the areas and full efforts are being made to restore power supply to those villages/areas keeping public safety in mind.
