As per available information, on the second day the protesting farmers crashed a drone that was lobbing tear gas on them.

The farmers ‘kill two birds by one stone’ on the second day of their ‘Delhi Chalo’ program. They celebrated ‘Basant Panchami’ at Shambhu border by flying kites and by flying kites to counter police drones dropping tear gas shells on them.

Since yesterday, the Haryana Police were using drones to drop tear gas shells on farmers to stop them from entering the state and heading towards Delhi.

Farmer community is famous for making ‘Jugaads”. On the second day of their protest, farmers have come up with unique techniques to combat the drones used by police.

Farmers were flying kites to bring down drones and they also used spray machines to reduce the impact of tear gas.

The ingenious strategy involves utilising the long strings of kites to entangle the rotors of the drones, potentially causing them to crash.

Meanwhile, in response to objections from the Punjab Police, the Haryana Police has currently stopped flying drones near the Punjab border.

There has been tussle between the Centre and farmer leaders as the farmers continued to gather at the Shambhu border, preparing to break through multi-layered barricades. Young farmers mobilised their tractors, ready to dismantle the cemented blocks hindering their progress.

While addressing an event organised by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in Delhi’s Pusa, she said there have been barricades and jails have also been prepared to stop the farmers protesting to press their demands against the Centre in Haryana, adding that, Madhura said farmers are not criminals, they are Annadatas and needs to be addressed.
