Father of girl sentenced for imprisonment for remainder of life under POCSO Act

District & Sessions Judge, Rupnagar, Ramesh Kumari had sentenced a father of victim girl for imprisonment for remainder of life to under Section 376 (2), 376 read with Section 109, 506 IPC & Section 6, 17 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence(POCSO )Act, for repeatedly raping/ aggravated penetrative sexual assault upon his own daughter.
The occurrence is of the year 2018 when he was repeatedly raping his daughter aged about 13 years 9 months for 3 years, and the matter came to light in the year May, 2021, when the minor daughter confided to her mother and thereafter, her mother left the matrimonial home and started living with the sister of accused.
On June 26,2021 sister of accused along with minor victim reported the incident to the police at Police Station Nangal.
