Punjab govt appoints former PSPCL director as member PSERC

Punjab government has appointed Ravinder Singh Saini as the member of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission
Saini was appointed director commercial in Feb 2023 and relinquished the charge as director commercial, Punjab state power corporation limited in February 2025 .
Er.Ravinder Singh Saini born at New Delhi on July 1,1965 did B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical) with honours from Regional Engineering College (NIT) Rourkeia in 1986.He started his career in PSPCL erstwhile PSEB as assistant engineer in May 6,1987 and rose to the level of engineer-in-chief. He served in PSEB/PSPCL for around 36 years. He served on various important assignments. He has rich experience in distribution, commercial organizations. He also served in generation, enforcement and other organizations.
He served as executive engineer (XEN) Ropar,Lalru , senior xen enforcement,Technical Audit Mohali,SE distribution circle Khanna, Mohali ,Chief engineer distribution South zone and Chief Engineer TA&I and CE Information Technology.He was serving as Engineer in Chief Information Technology.
The Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) has three members, including the chairperson, according to the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The current composition is one chairperson and one member, as the second member position is vacant. Now after the appointment of Saini the commission have its full strength . At present Viswajeet Khanna, (Retd. IAS) and Paramjeet Singh is member of the commisison.
