First ever Heritage Treasure Hunt in Royal City organized by Patiala administration in association with Patiala Foundation

As part of the Patiala Heritage Festival 2023 district administration organised Heritage Treasure Hunt with the help of Patiala Foundation.

The Treasure hunt saw people from across the city; participation with enthusiasm, zeal, and dedication. The Hunt covered the Heritage Trail of 2 km from Qila Mubarak to Shahi Samdhan which showcases, the tradition, architecture and culture of Patiala. Around 90 participants were divided into four teams; namely the House of Patiala, House of Nabha, House of Jind and House of Kaithal, which had to answer the questions based on the history of Patiala to reach out to the next point.

The team House of Jind was the first winner and team House of Kaithal was the second winner. At the Qila Mubarak winning teams were honoured by Chief Minister Office’s Media Director Baltej Pannu and MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli. They appreciated the event that it will help to inculcate the spirit of heritage and culture amongst the youth.

Sakshi Sahwney, Deputy Commissioner, Patiala expressed her delight at the overwhelming participation of the people in the Treasure Hunt and said that such innovative ideas need to adopted to celebrate our Heritage with the young generation.

Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, CEO, Patiala Foundation said that the Treasure Hunt was a way to involve the youth to come forward and know the history and traditions of the city better and also encourages the old traditional livelihoods to be sustained.

The event was organised under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jeewanjot Kaur and other officials of District Administration, CEO of Patiala Foundation Ravee Singh Ahluwalia and his team including Dr. Abhninandan Bassi, Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Hardeep Kaur and others. Patiala Foundation volunteers- Bharpur Singh, Palak, Harmanjot Singh, Sanyam Mittal, Satnam Singh, Mohit Gupta, Aadishwar Ahluwalia, Madhvender Singh, Himnish, Gul, Yachna, Aviral, Rachan, Kanishk helped in conducting the Treasure Hunt successfully with their active participation.
