For diabetic and other eye patients State-of-the-art diagnostic retina clinic launched at Govt Mata Kaushalya Hospital

The Health Department has announced the initiation of a state-of-the-art diagnostic retina clinic at the Government Mata Kaushalya Hospital in Patiala. Dr. Jagpalinder Singh, Medical Superintendent of MKH, unveiled that this clinic is specifically designed to cater to diabetic patients and other individuals facing various eye ailments.
Dr. Singh highlighted that under the proficient guidance of Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, the hospital has been diligently equipped with essential facilities. The introduction of the Zeiss OCT machine, complemented by a retinal camera and indirect ophthalmoscopy, stands as a testament to the hospital’s commitment to advanced diagnostic capabilities.
Expressing the hospital’s vision, Dr. Singh emphasized, “Our objective is to efficiently diagnose and promptly refer patients to higher centers for further treatment. Our medical personnel have undergone specialized training in medical retina, ensuring comprehensive care.”
The clinic will operate three times a week, offering screenings and diagnostic services to address the growing concerns related to retinal issues among diabetic patients and other eye ailments.
