For economical treatment, wellness of students, faculty, staff, pensioners, dependents Punjabi University signs MoU with 18 hospitals

Under the visionary leadership of Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala, Prof.Arvind , an agreement (MOU) was signed between Punjabi University, Patiala and the various prestigious Hospitals of North India.

For the first time Tata Memorial (Homi Bhabha Cancer) Hospital,Sangrur (at c+ category rates approved by Punjab Govt.);  Tata Memorial (Homi Bhabha Cancer) Hospital, New Chandigarh (at c+ category rates ) has signed the MoU with the university.

Dr Regina SMO said ” ours is the first university to sign MoU with 48 hospitals at various locations in Punjab. .The Hospitals offering treatment at central govt health scheme (CGHS) Rates to Punjabi University employees, faculty, students, pensioners and their families.” The newly added hospitals are

Grecian (Park) Hospital, Mohali at CGHS Rates

Manipal Hospitals, Patiala (CGHS rates in Cardio, Ortho, & Oncology IPD, 20% discount on OPD & Other IPD)

The Employees, Faculty and Staff (both Retired and working) and their dependents will get the Services at CGHS Rates.

The Employees will have to show their ID card and Health Card for their dependents at the Hospital.

This facility will also be available for the presently studying students of the University and the students will have to show their I Card at the Hospital.

For economical treatment, wellness of students, faculty, staff, pensioners, dependents Punjabi University signs MoU with 18 hospitals. Payment shall be made by the patient on the approved CGHS rates, on the spot.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Arvind said the MOUs signed earlier with the Hospitals has benefitted the Punjabi University Family and the addition of these hospitals empanelled will be highly beneficial for the employees, faculty and students of the University.

Dr Navjot Kaur, Registrar appreciated the efforts made by Dr Regina, SMO and the staff of Health Centre in creating the new Facility for the Employees, staff and their dependents and the students of the University at CGHS Rates.

Dr Regina SMO said Punjabi University has already signed MOU with 30 Renowned Hospitals and now we have signed MOU with 18 hospitals including Tata Memorial Hospital, Sangrur and New Chandigarh, Aas Medicare and  Dr Manpreet’s Global Eye Hospital. This will help the Employees (both retired and working ) ,faculty and their dependents and the presently studying students of the University  to take the facilities at these prestigious Hospitals at CGHS Rates. She thanked the Vice Chancellor for the guidance and visionary leadership. She thanked the Dean Academics Dr Tiwari , the Registrar ,Dr. Navjot  Kaur, the Dean Research, Dr. Manjit Paterh and the Finance Officer, Dr Parmod Agarwal for helping in the whole process.
