Forecast of heavy rainfall, DC Patiala issues prohibitory orders for general public

Deputy Commissioner Patiala Sakshi Swahney has issued a prohibitory orders for the general public, keeping in view the heavy rain fall predicted for two days.
She said “this order will continue from 09.07.2023 to 11.07.2023 and covers any channel of flow of water natural or man-made within the geographical boundaries of District Patiala and especially in the following flood prone areas:
1. Sarala
2. Marru
3. Sirkapda
4. Hadayana
5. Purmandi
6. Badshahpur
7. Hasanpur Kamboa
“Any person found guilty for violation of aforesaid order, shall be liable for punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code” added Sawhney.
