Former IG, SSP Patiala got posting orders after 73 days of waiting

On April 30, 2022 IG Patiala zone Rakesh Aggarwal , senior superintendent of police Dr Nanak Singh along with other police officers were transferred, a day after clashes in Patiala between two groups over an anti-Khalistan march which left some people injured.
IG Patiala zone Rakesh Aggarwal , senior superintendent of police Dr Nanak Singh were transferred on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. After their transfer orders, Mukhwinder Singh Chinna was appointed as the new IG-Patiala Range while Deepak Pareek as the new senior superintendent of police for Patiala. Wazir Singh was appointed as the new superintendent of police of Patiala.
Till today, IG rank officer Rakesh Aggarwal and AIG rank Dr Nanak Singh were not given any posting. They were kept in “Awaiting Postings’ category.
After 73 days of the transfers, today the Punjab govt has appointed Rakesh Aggarwal as IGP, counter intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar and Dr Nanak Singh as AIG, Personnel-I, CPO, Punjab, Chandigarh.
