Function of NSS Camp at Mata Sahib Kaur College
Seven days N.S.S. Camp (2nd to 8th Feb.2018) concluded with number of activities alongwith cultural programme. Valedictory function was presided over by Dr. Gurdip Singh Batra (Dean, Academic Affairs and Controller Examination, Pbi. Uni. Patiala).
While Welcoming the Chief Guest College Principal Dr. Harmeet Kaur Anand said that such camps inculcate values in the young generation and also helps to develop a positive approach towards life which is an essential part of one’s life. She congratulated the winners of different competitions organised during the camp and inspired the students for active participation in future also. Dr. Batra shared his valuable views and stressed on the need to develop leadership qualities and self confidence among the students so that they can serve the society in an effective way. Dr. Batra also emphasized on the need to develop independent thinking among the students so that they can take their decision effectively.
Dr. Gurwinder Kaur presented the details of different activities organized during this camp in brief. In the morning session Dr. Kusum Thakur ( Consultant, Department of Transfusion Medicine , Govt. Medical College Patiala) explained about problems of ‘Thalassemia and Hemophilia’ in an elaborate way and awared the students about the preventive measures of these genetic diseases.Dr. Ravi Bhushan , Kulwinder Singh,Inderjit Singh, Surinderpal Singh and Nirvant Singh from Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle Patiala Zone and Gurinderjit Singh Bhatia (Advocate )& Kuljit Kaur Dhaliwal (Advocate from District Legal Services Authority Patiala) graced the occasion by their benign presence.
