Gakhal-Surjit National Sports Day Hockey; interesting matches going on

Shrey Hockey Jalandhar became the champion in junior category and Hockey Jalandhar in sub junior category again women section, experienced Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala and CRPF Jalandhar have secured their place in the finals of Gakhal-Surjit National Sports Day Hockey Tournament, in progress at local Surjit hockey stadium, Burlton Park, Jalandhar.
In the second day, CRPF Jalandhar secured full points by defeating Brockkie Jalandhar by a huge margin of 13-0 and experienced Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala defeated Khalsa College, Jalandhar by 14-2. In the boys’ junior (under 18 years) category, Hockey Jalandhar edged out Surjit Hockey Academy defeated by 7-6 and Round Glass Jalandhar defeated Shrey Hockey Jalandhar by 5-4.
Earlier, In junior (under 14 years) category finals, Shrey Hockey Jalandhar defeated Surjit Hockey Academy Jalandhar with a margin of 9-8 through penalty shoot as match ended in a draw (8-8) in stipulated time. Similarly, in the sub-junior (under 10 years) final match, Jalandhar Hockey defeated Share Hockey Jalandhar 2-1 to became champions.
Gakhal-Surjit National Sports Day Hockey; interesting matches going on. Mangal Singh, Chairman, Punjab Agro and Ravinder Singh Pawar (UK) were introduced to the teams as chief guests.
