GIEAIA issues appeal to all working, retired members to intensify ongoing struggle, to strengthen PSGICs-Trilok, Wadhwa

“GIEAIA, the beloved union of our late legends—Com K.S.B. Pillai, Com Ravindra Nathan, Com Kaka Samant, Com Madan Mohan, Com Sreekumar, Com Gurudas Das Gupta, Com Ummed Singh—and our living legends—Com M.S. Upadhyay, Com U. Banerjee, Com Srinivas Murthy, Com N.P. Upadhyay, Com Lalit Suverna, Com P.K. Dharam thok, Com Tapas Mukhopadhay, Com Ram Chander Nair, and other veteran comrades who sacrificed their entire lives and careers in the service of the public sector general insurance companies (PSGICs) and their employees—humbly and sincerely appeal to all employees, officers, and ex-employees to strengthen and intensify the ongoing struggle under the banner of JFTU” said Trilok Singh, General Secretary, GIEAIA.
“We urge you to campaign, raise awareness, and educate every employee, officer, and pensioner in PSGICs and to prepare for a serious struggle to safeguard the Industry and its employees” added Trilok.
“Today, the Secretariat meeting of General Insurance Employees All India Association (GIEAIA) for Classes 1, 3, and 4 concluded with the slogan: “Protect PSGICs, and the Rights and Dignity of the Employees.” As you are aware, the GIEAIA leadership is making every effort to strengthen and intensify the ongoing movement. We are working to consistently approach the Finance Minister, State Finance Minister, MPs, and department of financial services (DFS) officials to expedite the resolution of our genuine and justified demands, including: Timely settlement of wage revision, 14 percent NPS, 30 percent uniform family pension, Pension for all, Sharpening the struggle against privatization and disinvestment, Achieving the merger of all PSGICs, Ensuring adequate recruitment, and Strengthening the overall health of the industry” said Darshan Kumar Wadhwa, Secretary General, GIEAIA Class 1.
“GIEAIA issues appeal to all working, retired members to intensify ongoing struggle, to strengthen PSGICs-Trilok, Wadhwa added “in the coming days, GIEAIA leadership plans to meet with the Finance Minister, PMO, Leader of the Opposition, and the President of India to advocate for our justified demands’.
“We once again sincerely appeal to all members and retired members of GIEAIA to intensify the ongoing struggle and campaign to achieve our legitimate demands, strengthen the PSGICs for the benefit of all, and carry forward the great legacy of our predecessors” further added Trilok Singh.
