GIEAIA prepares for pan India strike on 8th under JFTU banner if the meeting fails with CLC-Trilok

General Insurance Employees All India association (GIEAIA’s) has asked its cadre-member, ex-members, retired employees to pull up their socks and be ready for whole heartedly participation in the Joint Forum of Trade Unions (JFTU’s) struggle program.
In this context a message to its Members, Ex Members and the retired members of GIEAIA from the PSGICS, has been flashed.
Trilok Singh, General Secretary, GIEAIA said “in the JFTU meeting held on December 6,2024, we had lengthy and a comprehensive discussion on pending Wage Revision, 14 percent NPS Contribution and 30 percent uniform Family Pension. GIEAIA seriously raised the issue of inordinate delay in meeting out our legitimate demands and strongly conveyed its view to sharpen and intensify the program of JFTU since there is no concrete decision from the department of financial services (DFS) and GIPSA except assurances”.
Darshan Kumar Wadhwa ,Secretary General ,GIEAIA Class 1 Wing said “there was a threadbare discussion on the series of I R Action to be observed in coming days and the following IR action has been finalised to achieve our just and genuine demands.”
Trilok added that “as per the decision of all India JFTU
- On 17/12/2024 – PENSIONERS DAY, JFTU shall support the Dharna program organised by the pensioners association by joining them during their Lunch Hour Demonstration.
- On 23/12/2024, JFTU shall observe *Half Day Dharna outside cabins of GIPSA CE in Delhi and outside cabins of CMDs at all HOs except Delhi and outside the cabins of all Region Incharges at All Regional Centres.
- In the meantime before the chief labour commissioner (CLC) meeting on 27th December, the NOTICE for observing One Day’s Strike on 8th January,2025 shall be served.”
Wadhwa added that “on December 27,2024, JFTU Constituents will attend the CLC meeting with a hope that our major issue of wage revision will be cleared. If that meeting is unsuccessful, there will be *One Day Strike on 08/01/2025”
Trilok added “GIEAIA made it clear that GIEAIA will be whole heartedly participating in the JFTU’s struggle program and also reserves it’s right to go for any IR Action at their own alongwith the other likeminded associations/welfare associations, as per the decisions of its Secretariat and will try to seek support from all the constituents.”
