GNDU added another golden chapter in its history: ranked among top 23% best valued universities worldwide

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has ranked among the top 23% of the universities worldwide in the World Rankings for Best Value Universities for International Students 2024. A survey conducted by the Study Abroad Aide for 8032 universities has placed GNDU at 1782 position globally for providing a great mix of high-quality education and affordability, especially for the international students.
The Best Value University Ranking for International Students is based on two metrics viz., academic quality, comprising 75% of the weight, and cost of education for the remaining 25%. Based on inclusivity, diversity, and satisfactory student welfare, the GNDU is positioned among the top 27% universities globally in the World University Rankings 2024, as per the Agency. It is the only multi-specialty State University of Northern Region (Jammu, Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh) to attain these remarkable accomplishments.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu accounted high quality academics, highly cited research of the faculty, and student friendly campus as the prime factors behind the up-scaling of GNDU rankings in the recent years.
The quality research has improved the h-index of the University from 64 to 145 with top 10 percent highly cited papers in Scopus. The university provides state-of-the-art environment for sports and cultural activities, thereby winning the prestigious MAKA Trophy for record 25 times alongwith top positions in National Youth Festivals. Congratulating the faculty and staff of the university, the Vice Chancellor said that the sincere efforts of the faculty of the University have earned name and fame to the University in India and abroad. He expressed that the university will further improve its ranking in the times to come.
