GNDU CET (UG) conducted smoothly, counselling on 9th July

Amritsar- As many as 1800 candidates appeared for the Guru Nanak Dev University Combined Test (CET), which was held here today. For this test total 08 centres have been set up across the university.

Dr. S S Chimni and Dr. Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi Coordinators for CET reviewed the preparation process to conduct the examination and issued guidelines and directions for the smooth conduct. Dr.Bedi said the university, on Thursday announced the traffic routes for the University Campus examination centres, so that the candidates entered the campus from appropriate gate and use the designated route only. The exercise was carried out to avoid any rush/traffic jam on the campus, Students also appreciated that varsity made arrangement for the parents of candidates who appeared for the test.

This test was conducted for the students who wished to seek admission into first year degree course in B Pharmacy, B.Sc. (Honours School) in Physics, Chemistry, Human Genetics/ B.Sc. (Honours) Botany, Mathematics/ B.Sc. (Medical Lab. Technology)/M.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology (FYIC)/ B.Tech (Textile Processing Technology)/ B.Tech (Computer Engineering)/ B.Tech. (Computer & Communication Engineering). Students said, “Convenience and access to information were advantages to taking the entrance test conduct by Guru Nanak Dev University. They said that University has live charts or help centres to address our queries. Students also appreciated that they will also sit for the single window counselling through which students will be admitted to various UG course in University”.

Dr.Bedi also elaborated that the special arrangements were made for the applicants in cases of disabilities as per rules. Dr. S S Chimni informed that Counselling for admission to different courses in Science and Technology has been scheduled for 9th July 2018 (Monday) to 12th July 2018 (Thursday). He advised the students to bring all essential documents required at the time of counselling .
