GNDU organized Lecture on Drug abuse and healthy heart
Guru Nanak Dev University organized an event in collaboration with ‘Fortis Escorts Hospital’ under the guidance of Dr. Jaspal singh sandhu, where lectures were conducted on the issue of Drug abuse and healthy heart.
The lecture was a Commemorance to the teachings of Bhai Ghanaiya ji who is epitome of dedication and commitment towards serving the mankind. Dr. P.D. Garg (Professor and Head, Dept of psychiatry, Government Medical college) was the eminent speaker of the lecture who enlightened the students about the problems related to drugs.
The second lecture was delivered by eminent cardiologist Dr. H. P. Singh of Fortis hospital followed by a discussion on “heart problems” to celebrate ‘World Health Day’.
The discussion held by the Dr. H. P. Singh and his team of ‘Fortis Escort Hospital’ increased the awareness among the students. The whole event was concluded with a cycle rally in the university campus, in which the doctors, university officials and students participated enthusiastically.
Prof. S. S. Behl, Dean Students welfare thanked the eminent speakers for their wholehearted participation.
Dr. Geeta Hundal, Dr. Ashwani Luthra, Dr. Amandeep Singh, Dr. Satnam Singh Deol, Dr. Paramjit Singh Malhi from GNDU and Mr. Dinesh Vashisht, Dr. Varun Pushkarna,Dr. Anupal Singh Kahlon, Mr. Atul from Fortis hospital were also present on the occasion. The cycle rally was organised with help of Hexi, which has inculcated the culture of cycling in GNDU Campus.
