GNDU to promote Eco-Friendly transportation
Amritsar-Guru Nanak Dev University, one of the largest green campuses in India has taken a prominent step to save environment by promoting bicycles at the University campus as mode of transportation. This step has been taken with the able encouragement of Vice Chancellor Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu.
Renowned company, Hexi, Hero youon Pvt limited in collaboration with the University is launching first of its kind campus bicycle project very shortly at the University campus. The trial has already been initiated at the University campus by the Vice Chancellor, Faculty, Employees and Students of the University.
Vice Chancellor said that to encourage the next generation for preserving environment, fitness and healthy lifestyle 300 Hexi smart bicycles will be available for staff and students at a nominal rent. He said that anyone can use this bicycles by downloading a Hexi mobile app and registering using mobile number.
Rinkal Makkar, Project Manager from Hexi smart bicycles said that under make in India initiative Hexi smart bikes are India’s first alloy rust proof smart bikes, with tubeless tires, GPS technology and attractive designs Hexi Smart bikes are already winning hearts in the campus.
