GNDU won All India Inter-Uni Taekwando(M)Championship
Host Guru Nanak Dev University won the All India Inter-University Taekwando Men Championship. This championship concluded yesterday in the Indoor Multipurpose gymnasium of University. The Second position was secured by Panjab University Chandigarh and MDU Rohtak remained third.
Today, All India Inter-University Taekwondo (Women) Championship was inaugurated here in Indoor Multipupose Hall of the Guru Nanak Dev University. As many as 110 teams comprising about 500 Players from different universities will participate in this championship. This championship will be concluded on February 22.
On this occasion, Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Director Sports gave the details about the activities of the Department. The competition will be organized in the under & upto 46 kg; above 46 kg. and upto 49 kg ; above 49 kg. and upto 53 kg; above 53 kg. and upto 57 kg; above 57 kg. and upto 62 kg; above 62 kg. and upto 67 kg; above 67 kg. and upto 73 kg and over + 73 kg.following wt. categories. This championship is organized under the supervision of Physiotherapist and Doctors for the care of sports personal.
