Govt Bikram College organised seminar on ‘Industrial Exposure’ for BBA, BCA students

Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organized a seminar on “Industrial Exposure: Bridging the Gap between Academic Learning and Real-World Application” for the students of BCA-II, BCA-III, BBA-I and BBA-II (all streams). The program was organised by the Computer Science and Management Department of HEIS under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata.
Member Secretary Dr.Reetu Kapoor and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Rekha Rani welcomed the worthy guests from PRO-ACE INFOTECH. Sr.Asst. Prof. Dr.Harsimran Kaur conducted the stage and introduced the guests to the students.
The keynote address was delivered by Jasmeet Singh, an industry expert with over 15 years of industrial experience and 14 years of experience in academics. He guided the students on skill development, personality grooming and interview preparation, stressing the need to bridge academic knowledge with practical exposure.
On this occasion, the Principal conveyed the message that such initiatives not only enrich the students with practical insights but also align with the vision of the college to prepare globally competent professionals. Dr.Reetu Kapoor remarked that the seminar provided an insightful experience, preparing students to face the challenges of the corporate world with confidence and competence in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Dr.Rekha Rani said that discipline and determination are the true pillars of professional success which are critically needed in today’s cyber world.
Asst. Prof. Swati Gupta conducted the open query session. The seminar concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Asst. Prof. Priyanka Puri, who expressed gratitude to the speaker, dignitaries and participants for making the event meaningful and enriching. Dr.Meenakshi Garg, Asst. Prof.Tarnjit kaur, Asst. Prof.Yadwinder Singh, Asst. Prof.Ramanpreet kaur, Dr.Sapna, Dr.Gurpreet kaur, Asst. Prof.Harmanpreet kaur, Asst. Prof. Harmandeep, Asst. Prof. Lakha and other staff members were also present on the seminar.
