As a part of their summer vacation break tour, more than fifty medical students including NSS volunteers from Government Medical College Patiala visited Kulu Manali for a four day tour but with a mission under the ongoing programme of NSS Unit of the college under Programme Officer Dr. DS Bhullar.
The students sent social media message on universal truth, peace and love from Manikaran, the philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev, the first guru of the Sikh religion. At Kulu Manali Rivers, they made a social media appeal to save water and rivers keeping in view the fast depleting water levels in the country and rising pollution levels in river waters.
They also appealed for pollution free India with public appeal for participation of every individual in the country to save the country from health hazards due to rising levels of all kinds of pollution in the atmosphere. The medical professionals and students have greater responsibility to spread awareness for a healthy society and check on all types of pollution, which is now a cause of great concern for the country, said Bhullar.
