Govt Mohindra College organized workshop for students; organized special lecture on Resume writing

Career Counseling and Placement Cell of Government Mohindra College, Patiala in collaboration with the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Mini Secretariat, Patiala has organized a four day premier workshop for students of the college.
On the first day of the workshop, Varleen Kaur, Assistant Manager in Training and Development department at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology presented a lecture in ‘Resume writing’ keeping in mind the level of competition in acquiring jobs in different industries.
She skilled the students on making their resume eye-catching from the pile of hundreds. She further discussed how to realize one’s strengths and weaknesses to explore their talents other than academics.
The event was organized under the guidance of the college Principal Prof. Amarjit Singh and Prof Rachna Bharadwaj, convener of the Career Counselling and Placement Cell. Dr Kawaljeet Kaur, a senior member of College Council and Dr Roopsi Pahuja of DBEE were also present on this occasion.
Dr Roopsi Pahuja from DBEE discussed the facilities provided by DBEE for self employment, registration for job seeker, training in soft skills for jobs in both government and private sectors for the unemployed youth. The event succeeded, with the efforts of the CCPC team members including Prof Jatinder Jain, Dr Sukhdeep Kaur, Prof. Palwinder Sandhu and Prof. Pavneetpal Kaur, to benefit over 200 students of the college.
