Govt Rajindra hospital came off with flying colours in saving sick Covid patients

Govt Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, a pioneer in health service, has once again came off with flying colours in saving the lives of Covid 19 sick patients.

The Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala has emerged as a beacon of hope for the mild and critical COVID infected patients.  Critically ill patients from many districts of Punjab (Ludhiana, Nawanshahr, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mansa, Sangrur, Barnala and some districts of Haryana) are also being referred here for Level-3 medical care here.

As per Surbhi Malik, IAS incharge Covid care centre, Tertiary Care Institution at Govt. Rajindra Hospital’s Patiala said,” critically ill patients from most of the districts of the state were being referred here, due to which doctors had to work hard to save the most critically ill patients. “

While elaborating further, she said a total 108 critical patients were admitted in the month of January 2021 and 90 in the month of February 2021. With the hard work and dedication of the doctors, paramedics, nursing staff, we managed to save the lives of 71 patients in the month of January out of 108 sick patients admitted and 63 patients out of the 90 sick patients admitted in the month of February 2021,  at the Govt Rajindra Hospital, covid care centre”

Dr HS Reikhi, medical superintendent (MS) of Govt Rajindra Hospital said, “we had worked hard, since the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic and our team of doctors, nursing staff, class four are still working round the clock in shifts to take care of the sick patients.”
