Grand event to be held in Kurukshetra on November 25 to mark 350th Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the state of Haryana is blessed to have 26 historic Gurdwaras which were graced by the footsteps of ‘Hind Di Chadar’, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. On November 25, the Haryana Government will organize a grand event in Kurukshetra to mark the 350th martyrdom day of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

The Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting held today regarding the planning and organization of this event.

During the meeting, it was informed that a State-Level Steering Committee and a State-Level Executive Committee have been formed to ensure the successful organization of the programme. A meeting of these committees is scheduled for August 6, where detailed discussions will take place regarding the support to be provided by the Haryana Government.

The Chief Minister directed that at least five events should be organized in connection with Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. These will include tree plantation drives, a marathon, a bike rally, and a light and sound show in his name. To spread the message of his teachings and sacrifice for the protection of religion, four religious processions will be taken out from different parts of the state in the last week of October, which will conclude in Kurukshetra on November 25.

It was also shared in the meeting that a special logo for the event will be designed, and a social media page will also be created to promote the event.

The meeting was attended by Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to CM, Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director General K.M. Pandurang, Special Officer (Community Policing and Outreach) Pankaj Nain, Additional Director (Administration), Department of Information, Public Relations & Languages, Varsha Khangwal, OSD to the Chief Minister Dr. Prabhleen Singh, and other officials.
