Guru-Dakshta Faculty Induction Programme successfully concludes at UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at Punjabi University

The UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre at Punjabi University, Patiala, is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Guru-Dakshta Faculty Induction Programme. This intensive 24-day programme was conducted online from June 19, 2024, to July 16, 2024, in accordance with the instructions of UGC-MHRD. Participants from various states and esteemed universities across India attended the programme, including:
The valedictory session commenced with the university Dhuni, followed by a warm welcome note from the course coordinator, Dr B.S. Sooch. Dr Sooch remarked, “It has been an enriching 24 days filled with insightful discussions, intensive learning, and meaningful interactions.”
The session continued with an inspiring address by the chief guest, Dr Manjeet Singh Patterh, Dean Research at Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr Patterh said, “This programme has provided a unique platform for faculty members from various institutions across India to come together, share experiences, and learn from one another.
Participants also shared their feedback and showcased cultural programmes, adding a vibrant touch to the event.
Dr Raman Maini, Director,MMTTC, Punjabi University, Patiala, delivered the vote of thanks by expressing his heartfelt thanks to the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Kamal Kishor Yadav ji for his continuous support to all the programmes organised by UGC – HRDC, Punjabi University Patiala. He thanked Chief Guest of the Day Dr Manjit Singh Patterh for sparing his valuable time and share his views and Coordinator of the Program Dr Balwinder Singh Sooch for working so hard for the successful completion of the course.
He really appreciated all the resource persons who supported this FIP especially in guiding the teacher trainees through their lectures on various aspects of Higher Education.
He congratulated all the participants on successful completion of the course. He said that this programme must have catered to their needs be it in their Teaching and Learning Skills, Communication skills as well as in their Personality development.
