Haryana CM announced bonanza of development works worth Rs 575 crore for Sirsa district

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal while addressing the Pragati Rally in Odhan Village, Sirsa district today announced bonanza of development works worth Rs 575 crore.
Addressing a large gathering during the Rally, Manohar Lal said that equitable development is being ensured in the entire state, keeping aside party politics.
“While considering the people of the state as our family, we have worked with the spirit of Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek,” said Manohar Lal.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also made several announcements for Sirsa district excluding Municipal Committees, Rania, Ellenabad and Municipal Council Mandi Dabwali, in view of the upcoming municipal elections.
Manohar Lal said that in a bid to channelize the energy of the youth by saving them from drug misuse and further encouraging them to play sports, arrangement of opening gyms and for playing various sports would be made in the villages of Sirsa district at a cost of Rs. 5 to 10 lakh.
While making a big announcement for the farmers residing in the villages located on the banks of the Ottu Lake, the Chief Minister granted permission to lift the soil of this lake for a month. Farmers can lift 6 or 10 tonnes of soil in trolleys to use in their fields. The arrangement for lifting the soil in the trolleys will be done by the government. The farmer will have to pay Rs 100 per tonne for this. For one month, no permission or license will be required for lifting the soil, announced Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister said that the work on Sherawali Distributary has started. Water will reach the tail from June 5. This will benefit 20 to 25 nearby villages.
Manohar Lal also announced health projects worth more than Rs.13.05 crore for the Sirsa district. Besides this, he also announced that as many as 77 roads will be constructed by the Marketing Board in Sirsa at a cost of Rs.88 crore. He also announced to fulfill the demands raised by 12 to 13 schools.
The Chief Minister announced Rs 34 crore for the water drainage system of Sirsa, Rs 2 crore for the sports stadium at Mamber Khera and Rs. 226 crore for development works in rural areas. He also announced the construction of ROB or RUB at two rail crossings in the Sirsa district.
All development works will be completed and whatever demand comes, will be fulfilled. There is no shortage of money, said Manohar Lal.
Eliminating Drug abuse is my utmost priority
The Chief Minister said that social evils like drug abuse have become a major concern for the State. So far this year 40 deaths have been reported due to drug abuse in Sirsa and Fatehabad districts. Eliminating Drug abuse is my utmost priority, said Manohar Lal. To curb this social evil, more and more de-addiction centers will be opened in the Sirsa district. Besides this, awareness campaigns would also be launched by Police and Narcotics Bureau and by forming committees at the village level. Also, strict action will be taken against drug peddlers, said Manohar Lal.

While underlining the fact that in Haryana corruption will not be tolerated at any cost, the Chief Minister also gave the slogan ‘Bhrashtachar ka Kaal, Manohar Lal’. Corruption had been going since long. No one dared to stop this but since we came to power no one involved in corrupt practices is being spared and the strictest action is being taken against the corrupt.
Taking strict cognizance against corruption, as many as 800 accused involved in the paper leak scam have been put behind the bars and the search for 300 is still on. The deserving youth are getting jobs on merit basis ending the age-old ‘Parchi Kharchi’ culture. Today, if anyone gives information about corruption, immediate action is taken. Vigilance has also been divided into seven parts, said Manohar Lal.
Through Gram Darshan and Nagar Darshan, Work is being done while sitting at home
The Chief Minister said that now through the Gram Darshan and Nagar Darshan Portal, anyone can raise their problems related to their locality while sitting at home only. The problem would certainly be resolved by the concerned department.
We have set up big projects in the entire state. As many as 17 New National Highways have been declared in the state. Out of these, six have been completed. A network of roads is being laid across the state. Railway Under Bridges or Railway Over Bridges are being built at the railway crossings in the cities.
Every district to have a Medical college
The Chief Minister said that an announcement has been made to open medical colleges in every district of the state. The land has also been identified in the Sirsa district.
When our government was formed in 2014, there were 750 MBBS seats. With the opening of new medical colleges, now these seats have become 1600 and when more medical colleges will open in each district, then these seats will go upto 2900. With this, there will be no shortage of doctors in the state. Simultaneously, the government has opened a girls’ college within a radius of every 20 kms. Under the ‘Chhatra Parivahan Suraksha Yojana’ the government is also emphasizing ensuring their safety.
In the NITI Aayog report, Haryana bagged the first position in bringing educational reforms
Chief Minister said that continuous improvement is being done in the field of education. In the latest report presented by NITI Aayog, Haryana has been placed first in bringing educational reforms. The state government has distributed tablets free of cost to 5 lakh students of classes X, XI and XII by spending Rs 650 crore. Haryana is the first state in the country to do so. The government is continuously opening Model Sanskriti Schools, said Manohar Lal.
125 acres of land of Banwala village to be used to promote sports or industry
Manohar Lal said that industrial clusters would be formed to promote employment and industries. The government has started the PADMA scheme for this. There will be clusters of 50 to 100 acres. There is a plan to make 6 clusters in Sirsa district also. Simultaneously, the government will also use 125 acres of land in Banwala village of Sirsa district for promoting sports or industry. This will provide employment to a large number of people, said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said that the government aims to increase the income of those at the bottom of the pyramid. For this, Mukhyamantri Parivar Utthan Yojana has been started. Under this, families with an income of less than Rs One lakh are being given loans and training for self-employment. Besides this, BPL ration cards are being made through Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), for those having an annual income of less than Rs. 1.80 lakh.
Through PPP, 42,000 BPL ration cards have been made in Sirsa district in just two months, in other districts also they will be made next month. Also, the elderly will not have to make rounds for getting old-age pension as their pension would start automatically on attaining the pensionable age.
