Haryana Govt appoints Chairperson and 2 members of State Human Right Commission

Haryana government has appointed Justice Lalit Batra(Retired) Punjab and Haryana High Court as the chairperson of the Haryana Human Rights Commission.
Along with the chairperson, the state government has appointed Kuldip Jain, District and Sessions Judge (Retired) and Deep Bhatia (Advocate) as the two members of the commission.
In the absence of members and chairperson, the work of the commission had come to a standstill and complaints had been piling up in its office here.
Justice Lalit Batra, graduated from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Passed LL.B. from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi and LL.M. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Joined Haryana Civil Services (Judicial Branch) on 15.04.1986. Worked in different capacities of Judicial Officer at different stations. Remained posted as Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kurukshetra. Worked on deputation in District Courts Chandigarh as Additional District and Sessions Judge. Became District and Sessions Judge in November, 2011 and worked as District and Sessions Judge Kurukshetra, Karnal and Sonepat. Elevated as Additional Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court on November 16, 2018.
