Haryana power engineers to hold protest meetings for revocation of suspension orders of SDO

Haryana Power Engineers Association (HPEA) will hold protest gate meetings with black badges in different zones on alternate days from Tuesday and daily in Sonipat , for revocation of suspension orders of SDO Sonipat , withdrawal of show cause notices issued to officers..

Ravindra Ghanghas General Secretary said that the Association has once again written a letter to Managing Director UHBVN today , seeking time for a meeting to discuss the major issues being faced by engineers. The management has so far not given any time even after the lapse of one month.

Baljit Beniwal Sr. Vice President said that Vicky Gahlawat SDO Sonepat has been suspended without any fault on his part as there is no protocol to provide a generator set during rehearsal events.No power supply was disturbed during rehearsal and only speaker malfunctioned.The suspension of a responsible officer has caused dismay to all the power engineers.The suspension is arbitrary and against the principles of natural justice.

The letter further mentions that show cause notices are being issued to engineers without basis and this is not only disturbing the working efficiency of officers but also creates a negative environment, detrimental to working culture.

The Association has requested the administration to take appropriate actions to resolve the issue.
