Hat Trick for Mata Gujri College, gets Autonomous status for the 3rd time consecutively

Mata Gujri College Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, the first autonomous college of North India, under the leadership of SGPC, has received the Autonomous Status for the third time in a row by University Grants Commission (UGC). Additional Secretary of College Governing Body Jagdeep Singh Cheema congratulated the staff and students and stated that Mata Gujri College is committed towards the overall development of the students while meeting the educational needs of the present time and it’s a matter of great pride that college has achieved the autonomous status for the next ten years for the third time in a row.

Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh said that college has achieved this success with the blessings of Mata Gujri ji, Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji. He said that this great achievement was possible due to the able guidance of the SGPC President Jathedar Advocate  Harjinder Singh Dhami and Additional Secretary of College Governing Body Jagdeep Singh Cheema, tireless hard work of the UGC committee of college, support of all staff members and students. He informed that the college has attained the autonomous status for the next ten years, without any inspection by the UGC, because as per it’s guidelines, the college was accredited with ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for three consecutive times.
