Heritage Walk to Be Held in Sri Anandpur Sahib; National and International Participants Expected-DC

Deputy Commissioner of Rupnagar, Himanshu Jain, announced that the district administration of Rupnagar has organized a Heritage Walk on the occasion of Hola Mohalla 2025. This initiative aims to raise awareness about the religious, historical, and cultural heritage of Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Deputy Commissioner stated that participants of this heritage walk will experience the educational values and cultural richness of the White City. This event will serve as a sightseeing program with an emphasis on community engagement and awareness. It will provide insights into the rich cultural history and heritage of Guru Nagari. He mentioned that international and domestic tourists, the local community, students, academic groups, and intellectuals associated with cultural studies can participate to enhance their knowledge.
Deputy Commissioner further explained that the Heritage Walk will be conducted twice daily from March 8 to March 10, 2025. The first session will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second session will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Each day, a total of four batches of 15 participants will take part. Each batch will be divided into two groups, one led by a Punjabi-speaking walk leader/guide and the other by a bilingual (English/Hindi) walk leader/guide.
The Heritage Walk will commence from Gurdwara Qila Fatehgarh Sahib and cover seven significant sites, Gurdwara Sri Bhora Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Museum,Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Sarovar Sri Anandpur Sahib, Gurdwara Qila Anandgarh Sahib, Virasat-e-Khalsa Museum.The walk will conclude at the Virasat-e-Khalsa Museum.
