Senior Punjab police officer, Gurinder Singh Dhillon, IPS of 1997 batch who is holding a key post of ADGP (law and order) , has left the job. The top cop said that he has not resigned from his post, but opted for voluntary retirement scheme (VRS).
After Parampal Kaur Sidhu, he is the second Punjab bureaucrat who has opted for voluntary retirement scheme (VRS)
As per reports he may contest upcoming lok sabha elections from Khadoor Sahib . Speculations are rife that he may join either aam admi party (AAP) or akali dal soon as he has good relations with both the parties.
Till date akali dal has not announced its Khadoor Sahib candidate and as per reports AAP is planning to replace its Khadoor Sahib candidate Laljit Singh Bhullar due to his recent controversial statements.
He shared the news on his twitter account “yes I have taken VRS from my Police service . I am feeling uncaged . let’s see where wind of destiny pollinates me ?
