IAS transfers: repatriated, reinstated, without postings IAS officers gets posting orders from Punjab govt

Punjab govt has issued transfer orders of 10 senior IAS officers. At least five IAS officers in Punjab have been waiting for posting for past couple of weeks with the government not assigning them any administrative work, including DK Tiwari (1994 batch), Nilkanth Avhad (1999), Ajit Balaji Joshi (2003),Neelima (2008) and Gurpreet Singh Khaira (2009) gets posting orders in today’s reshuffling.
In these orders Alok Shekhar, who is recently repatriated from central govt gets charge as additional chief secretary-cum-financial commissioner rural development and panchayats
Dhirendra Kumar Tiwari and Gurpreet Singh Khaira both IAS were suspended by the state government over panchayat elections fiasco in August 2023 and later reinstated both on different dates. But both were kept without postings for months. Now, both gets posting orders in this administrative rejig.
Another IAS officer Neelima got posting orders after months of waiting. She was booked by Punjab Vigilance Bureau in an alleged corruption case in January last year.
Another officer Balaji Joshi of 2003 batch had got his cadre changed to Punjab and reported to the state two months ago. But he remained without any posting. In today’s reshuffle, he is appointed as secretary agriculture and farmers welfare.

In today’s reshuffling, senior IAS officer Tejveer Singh, who is Additional Chief Secretary, Power and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Governance Reforms & Public Grievances and in addition Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd. and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce and in addition Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology and in addition Additional Chief Secretary-cum- Financial Commissioner, Rural Development and Panchayats, looses key departments including rural development and panchayats, governance reforms and public grievances
