IIT Ropar is going to hold its 8th convocation ceremony

“IIT Ropar is going to hold its 8th convocation ceremony” said Prof Sarit K Das Director IIT Ropar. Graduates from B.Tech, M.Tech, M.S, and Ph.D. will be awarded Degrees and a variety of programs will be recognized for their dedication and hard work.
A S. Kiran Kumar, Vikram Sarabhai Professor, ISRO and Former Chairman, ISRO is going to be the Chief Guest on this occasion. He has made immense contributions to the design and development of Electro-Optical Imaging Sensors for Airborne, Low Earth Orbit, and Geostationary Orbit satellites starting from Bhaskara TV payload to the Mars Orbiter Mission payloads while being Chairman of ISRO.
As per the programme the ceremonial academic procession will arrive at 10.30 AM.Chairman, board of Governors of IIT Ropar will declare the convocation open at 10.35 AM. Prof. Sarit K Das, Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar will read the report of the institute at 10.36 AM. At 11.00 AM, chief guest A. S. Kiran Kumar will be introduced. After the introduction of the chief guest, he will deliver the convocation address.
Chairman of the senate will start awarding degrees from 11.40 AM onwards.
Chief Guest, Chairman, Board of Governors will present medals to the deserving candidates and who performed well throughout their course. By 12.20 PM Chairman, Board of Governors will declare the convocation closed.
At 12.21 PM all students, their parents, faculty, guests will stand up for National Anthem and by 12.23 PM Academic procession will depart.
