“A condolence meeting to pay homage to our beloved Leader Kaka Samant was being jointly organised by General Insurance Public Sector Association (GIPA) Northern Zone, General Insurance Employees’ All India Association (GIEAIA) Northern Zone, GIEAIA Class I Northern Zone and GIEAIA. Around 100 comrades and sympathisers participated in the condolence meeting and remembered and paid tribute to Comrade Kaka Samant.Comrade K.S. Samant (Kaka), born on 2/7/1936, who for left his heavenly abode on 01/10/2024 in Mumabi.” said Trilok Singh, General secretary,GIEAIA.
“The meeting was addressed by GIEAIA President and All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) General Secretary Com. Amarjeet Kaur, Veteran Leader Com. N P Upadhyay ji, GIPSA & The Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) Chairman R R Singh, GIPSA CE Madam Madhumita Jena, GIPSA Vice President Sanjeev Seth, EX CE GIPSA A K Singhal, Com. Shyam Mathur, Com. Rajneesh Pandey, Com. Trilok Singh, Com. Darshan Kumar Wadhwa, Com. Ved Pal Nagar, Com. Trilok Chand, Com. R K Rana, Com. Shiv Kumar, Com . Rajeev Ratan Sharma, Com. Trilok Singh further added that “the meeting began with two minutes silence in memory of Com. Kaka Samant. All the Speakers spoke on the great legacy of Kaka Samant who left indelible mark on the Trade Union Movement and the Industry as a whole. The meeting was concluded with a pledge to carry forward the vision and legacy of Comrade Kaka Samant in the days to come”.
“A significant book written by Com. Kaka Samant – Brief History of Union Movement in Non Life General Insurance Industry was also distributed” added Trilok Singh.
