Indian Oil Corporation to establish retail outlet at Cooperative Sugar Mill Morinda

In continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up retail outlets of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on the vacant lands of the Cooperation Department, A Letter of Intent (LOI) was today handed over to the Cooperation Minister, Punjab, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa by the IOCL for establishing an outlet at the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Morinda.
The minister on the occasion while appreciating the timely action initiated by the IOCL for establishing the outlet, emphasized upon the officers of the IOCL the need for setting up of such outlets at the other spots also.
Randhawa also said that such path breaking initiatives would not only lead to the financial benefits for the Cooperative Sector institutions but would also go a long way in generating job avenues for the youth of the State thus giving fillip to the ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ campaign of the Punjab Government.
The General Manager (Retail Sales), IOCL Amarendra Kumar while handing over the Letter of Intent (LOI) thanked the minister and said that Punjab has become the first state of the country which has inked an MoU with a company for setting up of retail outlets through Cooperation Department.
Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included MD, Sugarfed, Punjab Davinder Singh, General Manager Sugarfed Harbaksh Singh, and Tehsin Riyaz and Sachin Sharma Deputy General Manager, IOCL.
