The Indian delegation visiting Australia has appreciated the hard work and progress of Indians in various fields. They appreciated the sports policy of the Australian government, where Kabaddi and other sports are also being promoted along with cricket.

Former chairman of Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Pawan Dewan, senior Congress leader Gurmail Singh Pahlwan, Sunil Dutt, who are part of this delegation, met with prominent personalities of the Punjabi community in Belgium Reception Wedding Venue Melbourne.

Addressing the meeting, PLIDB former chairman , Pawan Dewan said that Indians and especially Punjabis have made the country proud in Australia with their hard work, due to which an Indian MP has been elected for the first time in Australia.

Along with this, Dewan as  called on the Indian community to support the Indians standing in the elections of Victoria, irrespective of the community they belong to, so that the Indian community can reach greater heights of progress. He said that Punjabis in Australia have made a name for themselves in various businesses including transport, restaurants, builders and developers.

Senior Congress leader Gurmail Pehlwan praised the promotion of women’s cricket as well as kabaddi in Australia apart from men’s. On this occasion, besides others, Paramjit Singh Grewal Pradhan, Paramvir Singh Nabha, Gagan Singh Nabha, Aman Brar Mukhtiar Gill, Sarathak Dutt, Sunny Dutt, Alok Kumar, Akash Kumar, Dara Singh, Barinderpal Singh Nabha, Gurdawar Singh, K.S. Kohli, Raj Singh, Neeraj Tuli, Raja Dhillon, Sati Grewal, Virinder Sharma, Virinder Kapoor, etc. were present.
