Inhumane act of a notorious person brings Rajindra hospital into lime light; FIR lodged

“A letter received from Medical Superintendent Rajindra hospital Patiala that pharmacy M.C.H building Rajindra Hospital, Patiala 6 injections (Tocilizumab) has been stolen . On the basis of that an  FIR  no 173 Dt 14.05.2021 u/s 380 IPC (Whoever commits theft in any building, which building is used as a human dwelling )against unknown person has been registered at police station civil line Patiala and investigation is going on “ said a police spokesperson, after registering a case of missing six Tocilizumab injections

Earlier , the Govt Rajindra Hospital authorities found six life saving injections of Tocilizumab, which is being used for Covid patients treatment, was stolen from an isolation wing of Government Rajindra Hospital and immediately the hospital authorities have filed a written complaint to the police against the theft of the said injections.

As per sources, “on May 7, 2021, the pharmacy M.C.H building Rajindra Hospital, Patiala has 16 injections. No injection was issued to any ward on May 8.But on May,9 at 11:00 in the morning , 10 injections were found. As per records. 16 injections must be there in the official accounts.

“Notably, outsiders are not allowed inside the isolation wing, CCTV cameras are placed inside the building; Police have also been deployed outside the isolation wing where the theft took place. But we had already set up a committee for an internal inquiry also.” said a doctor on the condition of anonymity.
