Insurance awareness camp organized at village Manaki under PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Suraksha Bima Yojana

Under the direction of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Malerkotla Rajdeep Kaur and the leadership of officiating Deputy Commissioner Paramveer Singh, Malerkotla a special campaign was drawn up by the Rural Development and Panchayat Department in collaboration with the banks of the district to give the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was organised to aware about the schemes under the Department of Rural Development and Panchayats include National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and the beneficiaries of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).

Under which a special insurance awareness camp was organized for the convenience of village residents of village Manaki, village Bharal, Bapla, Mithewal, Dasaunda Singh at Gurdwara Ratangarh Sahib of village Manaki. In addition to the district residents, the beneficiaries of centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Self Help Groups, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Anganwadi Workers, Street Vendors, Sanitation Workers, Health Workers etc participated in the special insurance awareness camps.

On this occasion, Central Manager CFL Jatinder Bhat told the residents of the gathered area about the various schemes being run by the government to create financial literacy and banking awareness. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, the beneficiaries have to pay Rs 436 per year and under this scheme, after the death of the beneficiary in any manner, Rs. Beneficiaries have to pay Rs 20 per annum in which a financial assistance of Rs two lakh is given to the family in case of accidental death.

On this occasion, Sarpanch Daljit Singh Buttar Member of Sarpanch Union comitee of Punjab, Tarsem Rikhi Mankwal, Panchayat Secretary Sukhjit Singh, Sarpanch Union District President Sarpanch Nirmal Singh Jhaner, Manjit Singh Panch Manki, Magnrega Secretary Bikar Singh, Rajinder Singh Bathan, Lovepreet Kaur. , Kamalpreet Kaur, Kiranpreet Kaur along with supervisors and Asha workers were present.
