IPS officer Jyoti Yadav Interacts with Students and Teachers at School of Eminence, Nangal under ‘School Mentorship Program’

As part of the unique ‘School Mentorship Program’ initiated by the Punjab Government, IPS officer Dr. Jyoti Yadav from the 2019 batch visited the School of Eminence in Nangal today. During the visit, she interacted with students and teachers, discussing several important aspects aimed at improving the quality of education.
Addressing the students, Dr. Jyoti Yadav emphasized that avoiding hard work means giving up on success. She said that the hard work put in today will yield good results in the future. She shared career guidance tips and encouraged students to dream big. She also stated that student interest-based groups would be formed for various subjects, and in the future, the school will be provided with subject-specific study material and expert sessions will be organized. This will help students in achieving their goals without difficulty.
She stressed that education should not be limited to textbooks alone; students also need real-life understanding, exposure visits, and familiarity with modern technology. Dr. Yadav also held discussions with teachers and encouraged them to adopt innovative teaching methods. Additionally, emphasis was placed on increasing parental involvement in school activities.
During a special session with students under the mentorship program, Dr. Yadav advised them to be decisive about their academic goals and choose the field they wish to pursue in the future. She said they should focus on that particular subject and work hard accordingly.
Dr. Jyoti Yadav said that even students from government schools can dream big and achieve their goals. She called the ‘School Mentorship Program’ a novel idea that has the potential to elevate the government education system to new heights. She also shared tips with the students to help them develop interest in studies and maintain focus for longer durations.
Kiran Sharma, Principal of the School of Eminence, Nangal, extended special thanks to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for appointing IPS Dr. Jyoti Yadav as a mentor for their students. The event was attended by Education Coordinator Daya Singh, members of the School Management Committee, teachers, and a large number of students.
