Lakhimpur Kheri tensed; Punjab Dy CM visiting today

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa will visit Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh on Monday (October 4, 2021) to have on the spot assessment of the situation there.
Randhawa said, he wanted to personally meet the families of the victims and have first hand information about the situation prevailing there.
The Deputy CM will be accompanied by a team of officials. Randhawa has appealed to farmers to maintain peace at all costs while promising justice to the victims.
Punjab pradesh congress committee president navjot Singh Sidhu said ” No one is above the law … FIR under sec 302 IPC must be registered against Union Minister’s son for murder of innocent farmers, he should be immediately arrested and put behind the bars for this barbaric act !! ”
Punjab pradesh congress committee working president Kuljit Nagra said “I will be visiting Lakhimpur Kheri, UP tomorrow with a delegation of Punjab Govt. to assess the situation after the killing of innocent farmers by the BJP goons. I condemn & demand immediate FIR under Sec 302 against the culprits!
As per reports 4 farmers died and more than dozen farmers were injured, some in serious condition, after Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Ajay Mishra Teni allegedly ran over protesting farmers with his car in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.”
