Lakhwinder singh is Chief Engineer GHTP Lehra Mohabbat

Lehra Mohabbat-Punjab State Power Corporation Limited by an important office order, has handed over the command of its prestigious Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant, Lehra Mohabbat to Er, Lakhwinder Singh, who upon his elevation as Chief Engineer/ Operation & Maintenance, has been  posted at this plant. By the same office order,    Er. Kuldeep Garg, who was earlier in this seat, has been given the charge of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant, Bathinda.

Born on 25th of June, 1961 at Tanda Urmar (Distt. Hoshiarpur), Er. Lakhwinder Singh got the degrees of Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering in 1983 and 1985 respectively from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. After completion of his education, he joined the erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board as a Trainee Engineer on 22nd July,1985. He served at various positions at Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Plant, Ropar till 1998 and thereafter at GHTP, Lehra Mohabbat.

It is worth mentioning here that in 1998 when the 210 Megawatt Units of GHTP, Lehra Mohabbat were being commissioned, Er. Lakhwinder Singh was especially brought from GGSSTP, Ropar to this plant as an expert of Control & Instrumentation. He made immense contribution to the in-time commissioning of GHTP Units and later their winning national awards. He possesses a rich experience of 33 years of working in almost all fields of  a thermal plant.

At the time of his assuming the charge today, deputy chief engineers Mukesh Bansal, Sukhwinder Kumar and superintending engineers Bharat Bhushan Pandhi, D.P. Garg, Suresh Garg, Navdeep Garg and Darshan Singh Bhullar welcomed warmly the new Chief Engineer. Er. Lakhwinder Singh, Chief Engineer. On this occasion, he thanked the management of PSPCL and the employees of GHTP. He assured the management that with the coordination and cooperation of the officers and employees of GHTP, Lehra Mohabbat, he will strive hard to run the plant more efficiently and resourcefully.
