Lalpura’s in collaboration with the Global Punjabi Association organized “Rooh Punjab Di” event dedicated to Baisakhi

Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, President, Global Punjabi Association, which has organized free cancer screening camps across the world, organized a ‘Rooh Punjab Di’ event dedicated to the holy day of Baisakhi at the official residence of National Commission for Minorities Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura in New Delhi. Giving information in this regard, BJP Ropar district president Ajayveer Singh Lalpura said that the event was organized in the form of a fair.
Union Minister for Minorities Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Petroleum and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi, BJP National President J.P. Nadda , National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, MP Hans Raj Hans, MP Manoj Tiwari, among others, were present on the occasion. Apart from Binu Dhillon, Punjab folk singer Pammi Bai, Jassi Jasraj, retired High Court judges, Army Generals, senior police officers, senior IAS officers and a large number of dignitaries were present on the occasion. Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura and Ajayveer Singh Lalpura greeted all the guests.
On this occasion, while colorful programs were presented by various artists of Punjab, they mesmerized everyone with the presentations depicting the sacrifices of Punjabis to achieve independence. Disclosing this here today, Ajayveer Singh Lalpura said that the most important thing about the event was that the entire atmosphere of the event was created in the form of a fair where samples of heart-warming art depicting different types of Punjab culture were displayed, while stalls of various Punjabi cuisines won the hearts of all. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time that such a unique event dedicated to the festival of Baisakhi has been organized in New Delhi. The event was attended by ministers, officers, and Punjabi artists from various states including union ministers.

Lalpura said that the festivals are a unique identity of our Punjabi heritage and India and especially the festival of Baisakhi brings financial prosperity for Punjabis and especially the farmers, while also strengthening our communal bond. He said that in the older times when farmers used to come home after selling their crops, big fairs used to take place, but now the time has changed and we have started to distance our culture and heritage, but due to the special initiative of Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, President of The Global Punjabi Association, we realized these beautiful moments and it is a matter of great pride that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and his entire cabinet loves Punjabis, especially Sikhs, as exemplified by today’s event in which the BJP’s national leadership, including union ministers, was specially inducted. He said such events will continue to be organised in future as well.
