Leader’S’peak Lecture inaugurated; series started by CELTE Punjabi University

Centre for E-learning and Teaching Excellence (CELTE), Punjabi University Patiala started its Lecture Series – “Leader’S’peak” here today. The first lecture under this series was inaugurated by Prof. Arvind, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University.
Leader’S’peak Lecture inaugurated; series stared by CELTE Punjabi University .This lecture series has been started with the aim to sensitize our future leaders for building a sustainable society with holistic happiness and optimum utilization of resources based on the drive experiences of our present leaders. The present leaders will also enlighten the participants with new trends in market, new research topics, latest in market and lot of similar concepts.
The inaugural lecture which was focused on “Research in Higher Education in the Perspective of NEP 2020” was delivered by Dr. Amarendra Pani, Joint Director and Director(Research)(I/c), Association of Indian Universities. Prof. G.S.Batra, Director (CELTE) and Dean Research presented the welcome note and gives introduction about CELTE and Lecture Series. Prof. Arvind, Vice Chancellor during his inaugural address said that E-Learning is of great importance not only during these pandemic days but it should be part and parcel of regular education system.He also shared his teaching experience though e-learning mode at IISER, Mohali.
Dr. Amarendra Pani, in his talk, he conveyed the message that research topics must be chosen by the students which have industrial and social impact. He also emphasized on the fact that Academia-Industry linkage is very less which need strengthening.
Nearly 200 participants joined this event through live streaming on the Centre’s official YouTube channel “CELTE, Punjabi University Patiala”. Prof. B. S. Sandhu, Dean Academic Affairs concluded the event. Prof. Vishal Goyal (Deputy Director), Dr. G. S. Josan (Coordinator) and Dr. Vikas deep (Coordinator) of CELTE thanked all those associated with this event in making it a success.
