LM Thapar School of Management Hosts Historic Inter-College Fest—Kaladhara 2025: A Confluence of Intellect and Artistry

The LM Thapar School of Management (LMTSM), Dera Bassi, successfully concluded its inaugural inter-college academic and cultural festival, Kaladhara 2025, held on March 28-29, 2025. Under the theme “Innovate, Inspire, Ignite,” the two-day extravaganza witnessed a vibrant confluence of intellectual prowess and artistic talent, drawing participation from 170 students representing 9 esteemed institutions beyond LMTSM.
Day 1: Academic Excellence Takes Center Stage
The festival commenced with a series of intellectually stimulating competitions designed to challenge and refine participants’ skills. Events such as “War of Words” (debate), “OP-Run: Business Relay Challenge,” “Boardroom Battle,” “The Investment League,” “Pitch Arena,” “Case Study Competition,” “Business Quiz,” and “Marketing Mavericks” provided a platform for students to showcase their strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and innovative ideas.
Dr. Satish Verma, a distinguished economist and former professor at Punjabi University, Patiala, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He lauded the participants for their exceptional analytical skills and innovative approaches. Winners from institutions including Amity University, University Business School (UBS) Chandigarh, Chandigarh University, and Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) were felicitated, highlighting the event’s competitive spirit and academic rigor.
Day 2: A Cultural Extravaganza Unfolds
The second day transformed the LMTSM campus into a vibrant cultural hub, showcasing the artistic talents of students from colleges like DAV College, SVIET, TIET, and CGC Landran. The audience was captivated by a diverse range of performances, including soulful singing competitions, dynamic dance performances (Bhangra, contemporary, and fusion), innovative beat boxing battles, and a glamorous fashion show.
Distinguished guests, including Prof. Ajay Batish (Deputy Director & Chief Academic Officer, TIET, Patiala), Prof. Seema Bawa (Dean, Outreach, TIET), Prof. Sanjeev Bedi (University of Waterloo/TIET), Prof. Sarabjit Singh (Dean of Student Welfare, SVIET), and Prof. Gurbinder Singh (Director, LMTSM), added prestige to the cultural events and commended the participants for their exceptional talent.
