Punjab youth congress president Brinder Singh Dhillon has leveled serious allegations against the present government for not objecting to Bikram Singh Majithia’s bail application in the high court. Brinder Singh Dhillon added that in its orders, while granting bail to Majithia , the high court judges has observed that “Shri V. Giri, Sr. Counsel appearing for the State stated that statements of 40 persons have been recorded till date, but he did not place before us statement of any other person about petitioner’s involvement in ‘financing’ of drug trafficking. He stated that information is still being sought from various sources including those in Canada on this aspect.”
When contacted Brinder Singh Dhillon, he said “this clearly shows that Aam admi party has weekend the case, which give benefit to Bikram Singh Majithia to get bail. It has now an open secret that the incumbent government has not pursued the drugs case registered against senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia efficiently in the court, which led to his bail. Also, newly appointed advocate general of Punjab failed to represent the state government in this special case.”
