Man gets life term under POCSO Act.

A person from Village Chatoli Kalan, District Rupnagar sentenced for life imprisonment for committing rape on two children who were less than 12 years.
The victims were returning home on May 10 this year from school when the convict allured them to give money and took them to isolated place in the area of old factory near cremation ground Chatoli Kalan, District Rupnagar.
The police presented the challan in the Court on May 31.Agreeing with the contention of learned State Counsel, Ramesh Kumari, District & Sessions Judge, Rupnagar, today held him guilty and convicted him under sections 377 IPC (whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal) and Section 6 of POCSO Act (whoever commits sexual assault) and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
He was directed to pay fine of Rs.35,000/- each to both the minor victims.
